The event formally known as The Lawns Show was first held in 1976 and it is moving from Hull to the 250-acre Great Yorkshire Showground which will allow more manufacturers to attend than ever before, making it the largest outdoor holiday home show in the UK. Nicola and her family are invited to join her best friend and her family at their holiday cottage in the Scottish highlands over a long weekend. A free vacation is hard to pass up when money is tight.

Prudence, a hard-nosed businesswoman, is used to getting exactly as she wants and has the perfect walkover husband in the form of Francis to pander to her each and every need. Constance, on the other hand, is homely and loving, and willing to do anything for anybody. Totally devoted to her husband, Greg, who she adores and worships, she is blatantly unaware of his philandering tendencies and totally selfish demands. A very suspenseful slow-burn domestic drama by Daniel Hurst! His writing just gets better and better. He's a new favorite of mine. Told in multiple POVs, we are given insight to situations each is unaware of and how they are coping mentally with it. Nicola sees a text on Ryan's phone from Kim that alludes to a secret they must keep from Nicola and Lewis. The situation gets more tense as Ryan and Nicola are jealous of the fortune Kim and Lewis appear to make, but nothing is as it appears.....nothing!!!Organisers of the UK’s biggest outdoor holiday home show HERCMA, have announced a new venue for 2023 – the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. Kim and Lewis invite their friends, Nicola, Ryan and their daughter Emily to their holiday cabin in Scotland for a weekend getaway. The trip starts off rough, beginning with Ryan's jealousy of their fancy cabin and all the money Kim and Lewis have. Nicola and Kim have been best friends since school, so they are hoping they can get along for the rest of the weekend. Matters only get worse when Ryan gives Cole, Kim and Lewi's son, an adult beverage. Later that evening, Nicola discovers a message on Ryan's phone from Kim telling Ryan to calm down or they will find out, She becomes suspicious and wonders if they are having an affair. But what she discovers, may be worse. This delightful read is perfect for any holiday away from home or even sitting on the sofa with the pouring rain outside on cold winters day. Nicola and her husband Ryan, and daughter are anxious to get away so when an invite comes from their wealthy friends, Kim and Lewis and their son, to come to their luxurious cabin they accept. Nicola and Kim have been friends for quite some time, but Nicola suspects something is not quite right with Kim. The Cambridge Dictionary defines a lodge as: ‘A small house in the country, used especially by people on holiday.’ Collins Dictionary says: ‘A lodge is a house or hut in the country or in the mountains where people stay on holiday especially when they want to shoot or fish.’ In a secluded Holiday Home in the rural hills of Scotland, two couples and two children plan a nice getaway for a long weekend. The home is owned by Kim & Lewis and is a high-scaled luxury cabin and a second home. Nicola & Ryan have been invited to stay with them. Kim and Nicola have been friends since high school, but Ryan and Lewis have varying opinions of each other.
